2024

Did you know we produce about 400 million tonnes* of plastic waste globally every year? Meet the game changer, Lucy Hughes, founder of MarinaTex. Using only a proportion of the 50 million tonnes of fish waste produced annually worldwide, MarinaTex finds a new use for this waste for a more circular end product.

Similar in appearance and functionality to plastics, this material will behave differently in production, manufacturing as well as being a compostable alternative. Imagine a world where we reduce waste, by giving it a new purpose.

Joining the Brighton Loop Project to shoot content has been an inspiring experience. Established last year by Brighton & Hove City Council, the project aims to help businesses transition to a circular economy. Through this network of purpose-led businesses, we had the pleasure of learning about MarinaTex’s story

by producing four content videos for socials. Calling upon our local network of creatives, we shot using a nimble crew, mega thanks to the talented DOP, Murray Ballard & Editor, Isaak Johansson and of course to Fugu PR and Brighton Loop for bringing us on board.
